ich setze zum schluss noch einen drauf:
“punk soul loving bill and the rod taylor body double merchandise”
so hießen sie damals. dann hatten sie angst vor rod taylors anwälte und heißen nun “nur” noch:
punk soul loving bill

I second that! AYWKUBTTOD machen so Alben, die man imho nur am Stück anhören kann. Ganz weit vorne!

Ansonsten fallen mir spontan noch The Jesus and Mary Chain sowie The Electric Soft Parade, Minus the Bear, Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions und vor allem Fela Ransome Kuti (den man dann nicht mit seinem Sohn verwechseln darf) ein….

Andi: Weil es ein gutes Album ist. Höchstens getoppt vom diesjährigen Worlds Apart… Nun gut, ich muss nicht jeden bekehren und ich kann auch verstehen, dass die auf einige sehr komisch wirken.

Für mich sind sie jedoch eine der besten Bands der 00er-Jahre.

Was die Bandnamen angeht, hat Andi da ja schon was zu gesagt. Mir fallen noch Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Dick Dale and his Del-Tones (und ganz viel weitere im Stile von Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros), The International Noise Conspiracy, The Cooper Temple Clause und The Soundtrack Of Our Lives ein.

Und die 1-3 unseres Drummers kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen ;-)

Kann ich überbieten mit : “and you will know us by the trail of dead”
Allerdings war das Album “Source tags & codes” ein absoluter Fehlkauf in meinen Augen!
Frage mich, wie so ein Album so gute Kritiken bekommen kann.
